Default Help! Broken jag part ID needed.

Overheated last night. Discovered the water pump drive belt missing after limping home. Got a better look this morning and found the idler/tensioner pulley missing. Can someone please give me the part number for the pulley shown on the far left of the picture?

Thanks

wisker, odds are, you are going to have to replace the whole tensioner assembly, not just the pulley. Granted, you can give it a try and check out your local auto parts store and see what they can find for you in the way of an acceptable substitute. But, this is going to be a lot of "does this one work?, how about this one? This one?". Looking online, I don't see any part like you are after listed. It is very possible that if you can't find something at the local auto parts store, this is going to necessitate a trip to the dealership to get the part. With that being said, check out Jaguar Atlanta - Nalley Jaguar - New and Used Jaguar Dealer - Jaguar Service, Repair - Marietta, Duluth and Roswell GA and if you tell them the part you are after, if it can be gotten, they will be able to get it for you.

I had this problem a while ago, you will have to buy the whole part not just the pulley, I got mine from PartsTrain.com OEM and about half the dealer cost.

When you say "limping home" remember aluminum engines don't like to be overheated. How long did this limping last or you may need a new engine to go with your pulley!

Thank you to all that replied. I (reluctantly) ordered the tensioner assembly from my local Jag dealer. I paid too much, but the correct part is on its way and I'll be back on the road soon. FWIW the part number is C2S43295.

Tony, I was able to shut it down right after the red temp warning light came on so I'm hoping for the best.

Just curious, since the 3.0 motor was also used in the Lincoln LS is there anyway to determine if the same part was used for that car?

But, it might not be any cheaper...
