Thing runs smooth had her for about 3 days but as I was walking around the front
Of her I got a whiff of coolant. Don't see anything leaking anywhere and I've never see the temp gagde go above dead center. I did notice however the the rubber hose coming from the coolant tank seemed to of had a suction of sorts on it as it appearded callapsed.

Any thoughts?

The coolant smell is probably coming from the overflow bottle. They are known to have cracking at the nipples on the bottle. The collapsed hose would indicate that the systems is returning coolant to the main system when cooling. I would plan on replacing that hose. You might also consider test/ replacing the coolant tank cap.

 

cool thanks for the info. i figured the rubber is just wairing. looking to replacing it. ill check out the overflow bottle you mentioned.
