light blue, 148k with 2 problems. registered in DMV, CA 02/17/10
1, asb & brake lights on whenever drving over 5miles/h.
2, driver side marker broken. signal light working inside.
Trying to fix the first problem myself tomorrow.
point to the gap between speed sensor and tone ring both of the rear sides. dirt? sensor damaged? ring broken? hope to be one of them.
any other ideas?

 

Welcome! I'm a new owner myself so I don't know what help I can give on the ABS problem. It sounds like either a funky sensor or possibly the ABS/TC/DSC control module. If you've got a code reader it might throw a solution your way. Good luck with the fix.

I cannot help you with the first problem and for the second problem i can only tell you to check ebay or a local junkyard for some parts.

My x-type 2.5 jag has almost 180,000 on the clock and still looks like a new one but I just bought it andam having a few issues. Over all it still drive great but could use a little more low end power.
