I have an 04' Jaguar X-Type 3.0 and I have been having small problems with it over the past several months, but it seems to have just gotten worse. When I am driving down the road and push the gas pedal in significantly to make the transmission either shift down one or two gears I will occaisionall get massive shaking from the car, like it can't put it in gear. So I have to let off the gas and push on it just a little (not being allowed to accelerate like I wanted to).

I initially thought that that was because the car wasn't properly warmed up, but now its been happening even when it is nice and warm. I didn't know if it was a transmission problem or not, or if you guys have run into this problem yourselves.

Any help would be appreciated.
