Default HID installation. Pictures and problem :-(

Hi again,

Here are pictures from my Jag with HID installation... but there is a big problem :-( As I explained on other thread I broke some tab from passenger side headlight when I was checking the installation and now it seems the level control don´t work properly for this bulb. Here pics showing the different light level from both bulbs on the four positions I can control from driver seat. And there is a zone, in front of driver position, where I see the HID light but more weak (I have make round it).

Now I´m vere disappointed and I don´t know what I´m going to do [&o] I suppose I will try to take the headlight off tomorrow (taking the bumper of firstly) and I´ll see if I can fix it but I don´t know how and it will take more and more hours :-( Why did I check it today?

What puzzles me is that the light is so slanted diagonally.

It must to be because the passenger side headlight where I broke a tab I have taken the headlights off this morning and I have been try tostick it but I couldn´t and I also broke the other tab when I was desperate trying it

Definitely I need to find a new headlight and It would be fine as mine are scratched and wear out but the problem is it´s too expensive. I have called the local Jaguar dealer and it cost 360 EUROS each one (around 260 GBP). And I don´t find any good option online. Could anybody propose me a way to buy it cheaper and new or really good condition?

Regards,

I am completely naive in this department, however I got to thinking, were these properly aimed? Just seems like the driver's side (passenger's if your Euro) is not aimed properly???

Hey I found it where you bought the HID lights. Do they look cheap and chessy? $72.99 for a HID kit not bad. Do they look like the expensive ones?

The bumper doesn't...look under there you'll see a plastic cover with say 10 bolts need to be removed for this cover to be removed...not sure on fitment of the fogs with hids though as I can't remember how they mounted up in there...cheap and cheesy? Look at my post again they look like hids...for whatever reason though its hard to take good quality pictures of the lights themselves to show a difference...the lights shine on walls just like racaz set....

No you don't have to remove the bumpers...just the plastic piece that protects underneath the car about a foot and a half from the front bumper...bumper stays put!

What do you mean by same product? The lights price on his ebay site are 72.99 shipped last I checked...they aren't going to be perfect but my buddy spent 200 on a set or a little over that and his are having problems every single time he starts his car...to me you don't necessarily get what you pay for but you get fortunate nothing happened! I'd still rather buy 5 of the set I have than buy 1 pair for $3-400!
