Courtney, there are tons of tips for installing HIDs into our Jags here on this site. Are you doing the headlights or the fogs? I have done the fogs and it is a straight forward process. As for the headlights, while it can be done with the headlights installed, I would not personally recommend that. The supports inside the headlights are weak and with a little bit of force can be broken. So, take the extra time, remove the front bumper cover and then remove the headlight assemblies to be worked on a work bench so that proper support can be applied.
As for the wiring of the HIDs, as long as you are using the 35W HIDs (recommended), no wiring modifications are needed as the factory wiring is rated to handle the starting surge of the HIDs. This is not true of other brands of vehicles. So, if you are doing research at other places on the internet and you hear people talk about using relays to power HIDs, you are already covered.
