Default Hood stuck

I've been having a problem for a little while with the bonnet (hood) catches not resetting after opening so not being able to shut it properly without prodding the catches down.
Went to open it today and only one catch released so now can't open it or shut it properly.
The cable does not appear to have broken.
Any ideas on this one?

With the car raised on jack stands you can reach up from underneath and move the latch levers to release the hood. You might need someone to apply downward pressure on the hood while prying on the lever. Once you get it released and open wash out the latch assemblies with something like wd40 to remove dirt and corrosion. Then get some silicon grease and lube up and exercise the latches to get them lubricated.
