Bonnet/Hood strut issues
I bought a pair of replacement struts which were advertised as 'Set of 2 Bonnet Hood Gas Struts Springs for Jaguar XJS 1976-1991 BD48027'. The struts that I have on my 1990 have eyelets that take a 10mm fixing, the replacement struts take an 8mm fixing. Did I buy the wrong struts or is this an issue with the new struts?
jamesholland,
That's the right part number. Did you buy them from Jaguar or are these just pattern parts?
It seems that it's either an incorrect part or have your original ones been changed at some time in the past?

These are pattern parts. I have no idea if the struts that were on it are original, I've owned it for only a few months of its 26 year history. I was hoping someone on here would have some idea, I found another thread but that only discussed locking and non-locking struts.
