its where its real hard to get to. I dont want to remove the dash and create rattles.
what kind of glue did you use?

I used silicone, no issues afterwards. Unlike with glue, the dash vents will come off easily if necessary. Glue is more or less permanent.

The JEPC mentions a small self-tapping screw going in there, so perhaps Jaguar just gave up later

Same here - both were lifting so put a fair amount of transparent silicone sealant under each end, used tissue wedged between it and windscreen to keep it in place as it cured, then gently rubbed off the excess.. and it looks (hopefully long term) like it has always been exactly as it should be. :-)

My dash was lifting near the vents. I used a pair of needle nose and some small finishing nails. I pushed the nails through the vinyl and through the edge of the plastic underlayment. From there, I reached in and bent the end of the nail over some to prevent the nail from backing out.
