Default How do I remove the sunroof glass?

I need to remove just the glass to the sunroof, but the dealership had no idea and wouldn't go ask a tech if he knew. nice. I bet if I broke it and took it in to be replaced they would find a way to put in a new one. lol
Anybody know how to get to the screws and exactly how to do this?

Download the pdf of the manual here:

http://www.mediafire.com/download/xp...Manual.pdf.zip

Page 501-17 Roof Opening Panel is where to look.

Talking Awesome!

Thanks Bud! My whole focus was to re-upholster the whole headliner and interior. I took out the whole headliner and both A and C pillars already. I just couldn't get that cover shield out so it could be done as well to match the new material for the headliner. I was under the impression the sunroof glass had to come out to get to the sliding shield out. Low and behold the panel shield can be taken out for new upholstery simply and easily without removing the glass thanks to you. It's all on one page of the pdf file. #501-17 just like you said or page #2655 if anyone needs to know. I'll post the whole job with pics when I'm finished since I couldn't find a complete detailed thread I needed to see posted anywhere. I could do a second one in way less than 1/3 the time now. Live and learn.
You're a life saver. (or at least a huge time saver) lol

Thanks again!!!!

Now that you have the pdf a lot of things will be a little easier.
Haynes just came out with an XType manual I am waiting to see.

I need to take mine apart also. The motor only runs on one side. Probably some of the plastic gears broken.

I read the PDF fine and the #1 thing to do before removing the glass is 'slide the glass rearward'. LOL I guess I'm screwed from the start!!!
