I have recently come to the realization that 40 years in the auto repair business, albeit it concentrating on frame and suspension, means nothing in the land of the cat.

Been chasing a vacuum leak due to the dreaded code, P0171 System to lean bank 1 and P0174 System to lean bank 2.

I started off spraying the car cold then hot with the following products to no avail.
1. carb cleaner
2. WD-40
3. Break away
4. Starting fluid, either (I know don't judge)
Tonight as a last ditch effort just tapped the top of the intake by the TPS with MAF sensor cleaner and the car stumbled so hard, you would have thought I poured a quart of water down the intake. The lightest of touch a second time with the MAF cleaner and the same result. I am assuming in the morning it will clear my error codes, but either way was the only chemical that found the vacuum leak.

Great group of guys here, and I appreciate all the help that has been given me through the years. I hope this helps pay it forward to the next guy,

Have a great night,
Ron

Sounds like for some unmentioned reason you were not watching STFTs as you sprayed the other things.

That finds even tiny leaks.

Actually it seems and sounds like for some unmentioned reason that someone does not have the ability to read posts on this website

Maybe someone for some unmentioned reason, should see if one of the local elementary school children need any community service hours as they may be able to read explain the forum posts

This is the second time in as many days for some unmentioned reason, that someone from Yorkshire, England had left a condescending reply that had absolutely nothing to do with the topic

It brings me to question if someone in the medical field in Yorkshire, England for some unmentioned reason, is guilty of dropping all their newborns on their heads at time of delivery

Cheers
