how to fix brake booster and other compression type fitting vacuum leaks
If you have a leak where your brake booster hose, or any other type of compression ring attaches to the intake, try this.
1. Remove the hose from the fitting
2. Get a pick and tiny screw driver and remove the compression collar from the intake
3. Leave the round plastic washer or seal in the manifold
4. Find a rubber o-ring that snuggly slides over the plastic vacuum hose.
5 Slide the rubber o ring into the intake above the plastic washer that is already in there.
6. Slide the black plastic retaining clip back into the manifold over the rubber washer.
7. A little Momma spit on the plastic vacuum line and in it goes.
Best thing is it looks so much more professional than a glob of silicone sealer and remains easy to maintain.
Hope this helps as well.
