hi mohrd. I've only had it since July. It had 200,000 km then. I assume it was driven hard because the spare rim had scratches and dents on it. Another rim was cracked. It may be just the low profile tires that put more stress on the wheels. I needed to replace a gasket on the top of the gas tank. Fuel would leak out if I filled the tank. Last week I replaced the original spark plugs and the three back coil packs. It is running smooth now. I just don't get to drive it as much as I would like. Three vehicles and 4 drivers in the family right now and a daughter ready to get her learner's licence.

The original plugs were still in there?

PS Nice to meet you on Sunday. Let us know what you think of your X if you ever get any snow to run around in.

Smile Mileage

2003, 2.5 with 27795 miles on the odo. All I have fixed so far are the front and rear swaybar bushings, Jaguar wanted close to $900, my mechanic did it included parts for $200. Also had to have a new battery, at 1/2 the price that Jaguar charges. Jaguar has the highest prices on parts of any automobile dealer. So consumer reports at the dentist the other day. the X type was rated one of the 50 worse cars ever made? I don't know about that, mine is quirky but it has never let me down yet. and the AWD is terrific in the winter. How the magazine comes to these ratings is beyond me.

Default 110470 miles on my 2003 Jaguar X-type

I've got 110470 miles on my 2003 Jaguar X-type.
Just put new belts (main drive belt and water pump belt) as is recommended by Jaguar at the 100K mile mark.
Need to add new struts/shocks very soon.
I change oil every 3K miles, and hope that I can drive this car for another couple of 100K miles.

2003 107,732 daily driver for the wife. Have been having some problems of late but that is usual for a car of this high mileage. She loves driving it almost as much as our first XJ6. That was an 82 with I think last count 180,000 or so.
