How to remove Inlet Heater Hose
Dear All,
I drive a 2003 X-Type, 3.0V6, automated gearbox.
My Inlet Heater Hose ruptured a few days ago, so I am not able to move the car. I bought a replacement (a brand new one) but my mechanic has pneumonia (no corona!) so I wanted to replace it myself. And I am stucked. I looked at it from everywhere and I cannot seem to access the point where it is attached to the heater. I read that I need to remove EVERYTHING (exhaust manifold etc...) no matter what. Is that true? Do you have a guide or a video about it?

Dell Gailey was so nice to direct me to an old thread here about this issue. However, I want to share how this ended because I had different experiences.
My mechanic did not need any specific tool. He approached the hoses from under and used a simple hose clamp plier. There was some kind of a plate partly covering it, that was held by 1 or 2 screws, then he removed a hose under the hoses in question, as far as remember that is for the condensated water of the AC system. It was EMPTY. Than he was able to access and remove and replace the Inlet Heater Hose. It did not take more then 15 minutes to remove and another 10 to install the new hose.
