If the car has the base of the hood ornament already on it and it's just missing the "leaper," then you'll have to remove it by removing the bolt from under the hood then put the new one on. If the hood doesn't have the base already on it and it just a hole, then it should just be a matter of putting the new one on and tightening the bolt under the hood. I've never done it personally, but I've been told that's it's pretty simple and straightforward. Good luck!
