The only diy job that you can do on the jaguar key is replace the bottom half or "fob" part. To replace the actual key, you will have to visit a dealer. There is no way around that

The key blade in the fob type key is held in by a small roll pin.
You can see if when the key is half opened. You can remove it
with a small punch.
