Default How to replace the master window control on an x-type

The individual power window switch that controls the drivers side window, does not raise or lower the window. I can hear the motor hum when I push or pull the switch but the window doesn't budge. All of the other switches within the master control unit still work fine. Can anyone tell me how to remove the panel to change out the unit and check to see if the window is off track?

Follow this liink to the "HOW TO" section and at the very bottom of the page you can download the complete repair manual for the X-Type in PDF format. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...essories-5915/
You will be able to read each of the steps for removing the door card and removing the switch.
If you can hear the motor hum and the window doesn't move then the switch is probably good and the problem is in the widow track.
Make sure to get a few of the plastic FIR fasteners because they are plastic and you will break a few removing the door card.
