Default How to replace a starter relay on a x-type 2006?

I need to replace the starter relay. Older x-types can replace the r10 relay, but on newer models like my 2006, I need to replace r12, but it is underneath a shield on the fuse box and says that it is not "user serviceable." It seems that I need to replace the entire fusebox in order to replace it.

Has anyone replaced this relay, or am I stuck replacing the fusebox?

Pretty good write up, try all these first before assuming it's the control.

No crank. No fuel. No spark. No OBD2 code. DSC System / Gearbox Fault. | Jaguar Clubs of North America

Removal, suggestion would be tape/lable the cables when removing to facilitate re-installation.

Yeah, I saw this. I was hoping not to have to do it. I also couldn't find a new one, and I don't know how you could tell if everything worked on a used one since they are "pulled" from cars.

Thanks.
