Don't really know what you mean by that statement. Can't imagine how removing the interior trim piece could have an effect on water egress.

No neither do I, but there was water dripping from the map light and there definitely wasn't a leak before! I'm hoping the sunroof just didn't close fully or something odd like that and its just a one off

Have you tried running a hose over the top to see where it may be leaking?

I hadn't actually, but if it happens again I will do so (just been out to check, no more water ingress, hopefully a one-off)
