Thumbs down I dont want to make mistake about Sat Nav Screen

Dear Jag Friends

I have problem not to make a mistake for Sat Nav unit Replacment to my car X-type 2.0 D 2007 model
There are many posts I have read at the forum but my mind has mixed
I will buy 2nd hand Sat Nav Screen but I am not sure will it work? I have searched and have to buy also dvd and rccm unit
The question is about the harness The pictures are from my trunk which have empty slots of harness
If I buy 3 units thesse are Screen on Dash and dvd and rccm will it work on factory harness

Thanks
Merry Christmas

Koray, in short, can you upgrade to to a Sat/Nav system. yes. But, I would recommend getting a wrecked car as you need lots more than just the radio. There are many people that have tried this upgrade and I think that only 1 has actually made it work. Something else you will want to look at is making sure that the radio comes with the access code. In a lot of markets, the radio is programmed to force the owner to put in a 4 digit code when the radio gets powered up. You can obtain this number from Jaguar, but you also have to show ownership of the vehicle as you will need both the radio number and the VIN number of the original vehicle.

Dear Thermo
I will buy the system from a wrecked car. I have the vin number of the car but ask for the key code
My problem is I have no chance to find any harness if needed so I need to know the harness of my trunk will
fit the system.
For your reply I see that there is no problem for Sat Nav unit will fit my car

Thanks

At last, the cable with the gray is about the phone line, the other is the fiber optic female not suitable for dvd nor cd unit need male adaptor cable
So it will not fit the current status of my car. need a harnesss.(cable and connectors)
