All projector HIDs are the D2S variety. A D2R applies to reflector-type headlamps like the Escalades, Lexus models, etc.
I have had OSRAM type and Phillips...both are quality bulbs. Osrams have just a slight more purple tint to it then the Phillips. You can't go wrong with either one. Ebay is where I would go also.
I mentioned this on the xk8 threadhttps://www.jaguarforums.com/m_20869/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#20869 as well, but 8000k will kill your illumination distance considerably. It may look bluer, but it makes the road harder to see, relfectors and signs are less bright, etc. 5000k are perfect, 6000k would be the highest I would go personally. Trust me, if you want oncoming cars and others to see the blue/purple when you approach, you will achieve it with the cutoff shield in the projector. (and I presume it has one if it is truly an HID headlamp). See the pics in my other thread, and good luck in your project. The result really good when you are finished.

H20boy,
I see that you have (2) JL Audio 6w0 subs listed. Can you tell me how much power you are running to them? What kind of sound, output, sq can you elaborate on? Can you feel the subs as well as hear them? Do they give enough output to be heard a 1/4 to 1/2 a block away? Can't expect chest pounding from a 6.5" sub. Not sure what kind of music you listen to but I'm a R&B, Classic Rock, Hip Hop fan and I'm looking to install (2) 6w0's in my X-Type on the rear deck in the factory sub box and Polk DB6500 components in all four doors.
Thanks,
Nate
