the total was $868 so not a "cheap" unit and its coming via aliexpress and their return policies are pretty good if its not plug n play (listing says it is)

mine arrived and im having a few issues which they are trying to help me with via whatsapp chat.

 

dennis... can you verify here that if the x type this is being installed on does not have the premium alpine amplifier, the large connector on the thick long cable which plugs in at the amplifier is not needed to be run to the rear of the car.
i do not have premium audio and there is no where to plug that plug into.
i checked on my parts car which does have alpine premium audio and the plug which is in the amplifier fits that long thick cable plug

for anyone else following this.
as per my earlier question...
if you do not have the premium system with an amplifier in the trunk, you do not need to run that thick cable from head unit to trunk. i have verified this myself.
finally a good reason not to have the premium system😂

 

The head units have a built in amplifier for the premium and the basic units so you can always get sound. The extended cable serves for the premium system like i showed you guys in my videos ,you can also put 360 degree Birdseye view cameras all around if you choose to, you also have pre outs for amplifiers, in one of my videos i show how to add a DSP amplifier and tune the frequency's to your taste

while i said i wasnt going to tune the system as my ears are old and cant tell the difference, it has comprehensive built in tuning like ive never seen before so i did play around with it and achieved a much better sound.
very impressed with the built in amp, night amd day difference
i didnt see you post an actual install video, perhaps i missed it?
i did not go with the 4 camera system, if i change my mind can i add it later or does it need to be purchased with the 4 camera setup?
