I-pod connectivity
I have a 2005my Jaguar 2 litre Diesel estate SE, it has the standard Audio kit and no CD changer but does have the CD unit. I want to listen to my I-pod so am looking for some help please as to what I need to buy and from where in order that I can link my I-pod and other MP3 players to the cars audio system.
Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Here is what I have and the audio options on my 2007 x type.
1. I have the ACM. This is probably the most ideal interface for iPod/iPhone or mp3 for the x type.
2. I have an 80GB iPod permanently connected to it and I can control up to 6 playlists.
3. Sometimes I connect my iPhone 4 - which charges fine since I use it for Pandora, Slacker or xm radio.
4. When I use my iPhone as a navigation device I can't use the ACM cable since it is too short when my iPhone is docked to the windscreen. in that case I use a USB charger that I have going from my power socket and use a stereo bluetoth connection from the iPhone to a wireless Bluetooth receiver ( it is a Sony that is designed to convert any headset into a Bluetooth headset) connected to the aux input in the ACM. This works very well anise I can use the Bluetooth receiver to change tracks if needed as well as pause the music.
5. The Bluetooth receiver also works with an iPad for the audio.
6. My car came with the phone Bluetooth connection and it pairs seamlessly with my iPhone 4. Even when connected via stereo Bluetooth to my ACM when a phone comes in, the ACM is muted and I can answer the call through the cars Bluetooth system. It's almost magical!
All I can say is that the ACM system beats the pants off of my 2007 Mercedes c280 and 2004 Acura TL when it comes to versatility and working with my iPhone/iPod/iPad set up.
