Default Icm eeprom swap

Is it possible to swap the EEPROM from one Instrument Cluster to another of the same part #? Just wondering if anyone has ever done this?

Searching for this subject yielded me nothing relevant.

Or maybe someone knows the EEPROM chip number on the cluster. The assumption of it being the 8 pin IC is mostly likely the answer, but in some cases the larger MCU would be the culprit. Usually on FORD clusters, you can swap over the smaller 8 pin chips and the cluster would be essentially cloned without any flashing. Just swapping the physical chips.
