Idle only

Idle only
I purchased a 2005 X type that had received a slight bump on the front end.
Nothing major just lights, bumper cover, etc. Not enough to set off the airbags.
Got the parts back on and read to go. But no go. It will crank and idle fine but will not accelerate. As if there is nothing connected to the throttle but all seems to be well there and nothing damaged. Suggestions? Thanks, New owner / second Jaguar

Ridgerider, from the sounds of things, I would look under the dash at the gas pedal. The car is "drive by wire". So, if the linkage between the gas pedal and the sensor happened to be pushed off of its mount or had a foot break the linkage (due to the accident), then that can lead to what you are seeing.
After that, I would be looking at the plug for the sensor on the gas pedal and also the wiring on the motor side of the throttlebody. But, based on what has recently happened to the car, I am betting you will find that the cause of your problems is under the dash. On a side note, is the CEL light on? If so, what codes are in the computer. If the CEL is off, this points back to the gas pedal sensor being the issue.
