Default Ignition Coil Problem

Hi I have a 2004 Jaguar X-Type 3.0 AWD I currently did a engine swap due to my old one starting to knock. Well I got replacement from junkyard and everything is all together and done but it’s givng me codes for coils saying all of them are bad. I Tried using my old one and still same result but my old ones didn’t have that code before the swap . Also with that Loss of Power per usual with this problem. Anything I should try with engine swap? Need any programming or any sort to get this gong? Anything could have missed to cause this??

What are your actual code numbers?
You might want to trace the wiring for the coils back to their ground point. The ground wires ends maybe dirty and not getting a good connection. Clean them up and tighten, clear the codes and then see what you get.

sizemore, like avern said, it is most likely your ground point. If you are standing in front of the car, look behind the headlight on your left side. ON the side of the head, you should see where a bunch of wires come down and bolt on to the head. You want to remove this bolt, note which order the wires are in (they are stacked a certain way for a reason). using a wire brush and/or some sandpaper, get the metal surfaces back to a silvery color, and then reassemble (making sure to stack the wires in the correct order). Let's see what you have then.

A thought that kept niggling me after my response was I don't know enough about your 2004 x-type.
First when was it built, before March 2004 or after March?
Second what year x-type did you new engine come out of?
There was a major rework of the wiring harnesses after the first quarter of 2004. Depending on the year of the donor engine the wiring may not be correct and is giving you the problems.
