Default Ignition switch

Hello again guys I have the dreaded "security fault", and I found a ignition switch with key in an 2008 Xtype. I have a 2008 my question is can I use that ignition switch in my jag? Also every day I have to take the negative post off my battery and pull a power relay to start and shut off my car so I was also hoping someone could tell me how to fix the fault as well. Saw a really good YouTube video by a guy who said it within the switch so please any suggestions will be much appreciated.
Thanks

The key has a code that the ECU has to verify before the car will start so you need the key and the ECU as a matched pair to do a replacement without reprogramming. A jag dealer or maybe a locksmith with the right tools can program the ECU to the key.
