Default Introducing Nemo:-

WE have been getting some of our old work vans out for a spit and polish not that the first one (aged 39) needed it as it came out from its container sparkling after 5 years away.

Its a 1968 something or other.
Looks like a Morris Minor van but has got Austin on the badge...so I am not sure unless they were the same company perhaps back then?
Its also got a side exit stainless exhaust and the unique sound of the Morris Minor.

Greta little runners in their day Buck........its a nice example.
I think the two companies merged at some point or other.

Its got to have loads of illumination especially on dark wetevenings in the middle of nowhere pulling cars out of fields.Never really had any stonechip problems though. Its not the quickest truck but does get looks from everyone. When the back is down you can see pics of the Tyne Valley RAF planes which is where the RAF sometimes train for low flying about 30 minutes from us.

Hey Caddie......I'm pretty much up on WWII or thought I was...........who is Andy Green? I dont think he rates with Douglad Bader an the like........or does he.?
The only dodgy link I can think of is that he was some pilot or other and flew Spitfires or maybe Hurricanes witha Rolls Royce Merlin engine ( as per your sig) and thats where it came from.........lol....NOT?

Fill us in..........

Well,Andy Green is the fastest guy and record holder in the world .He drove Thrust SSC (supersonic car) and broke the land speed record . He was chosen because Thrust SSC was same jet engine as he flights and used to getting in them .
As if this was not enough lol ,this time JCB tried to break a land speed record for the diesel engines .And guess what who did they choose ? Not my uncle lol Again,Andy Green was picked up for this great task and he managed to brake land speed record for the diesel engine as well .
