Ipod Installation

Hi, I have 2005 X-Type and was wondering if anyone can share ideas on how to install an Ipod? Has anyone done it? How does it look? I thought about getting an FM transmitter, and although they do work well you can get static feedback.....so thought I'd try to stick with the Ipod. Any thoughts you could share on how to DIY would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hey Whirlpool,

If you have the Alpine fiber optic system, you will a ACM from Jaguar to connect directly into your unit. You may be able to find one and DIY, but a dealer will have to program and turn it on, so you unit head sees it.

The ACM is waaaay better than the FM adapter, as far as audio quality goes. The FM adapter would be the quick and least expensive option though.

the ACM is the best thing since sliced bread. I hate when I have a loaner that does not have the ACM..... I love my ACM.... I mean it. I love it.

Looks like ACM is the way to go (to get the bestsound quality). Does anyone have any pictures they can share of how they installed an ACM or what it looks like once installed - would be cool to see!!!
