Just had this done on my 07 X-type.

$230. Considering the cold weatheer, money well spent IMHO.

 

My dealer said they would do it, for about 900. Too bad Iowa is so far from Los Angeles...

 

Ruddigger, doing the transfer case fluid is not that hard. You just need a few pieces before you start. You can do it yourself for under $30 and about 90 minutes of your time. Then you know exactly how it was done. Too bad you didn't live closer to me. I would tell you to come over and we would do it right in my drive way.

 

I plan on doing it myself the next time.

 

Yeah, I don't have a garage, or a driveway for that matter, or I would have tried to do it myself by now.

 

Ruddigger, what part of SoCal? My work occassionally sends me out to Santa Barbara (Flir corp site there). If you are in the area, next time I am there, I will look you up.
