If all it took was a jump start then I wouldn't jump up and condemn the starter. There are a few basic thing you can do first and see if it solves your problem. Changing the starter is a straight forward DIY project.
1. I would get the battery load test and make sure it is fully charged.
2. Remove and clean the connectors on each end of the battery cables.
3. Check the positive cable for corrosion in the strands of the cable.
After these simple steps if you are still having start problems then go ahead and replace the starter.
