Well there has been some talk on here about getting together a jaguar meet in the states. I decided I will try to put this together. My real inspiration came the other day when I saw 5 corvettes pull into a gas station I was at. It looked damn cool! I stopped and talked to one of the drivers and he kind of let me in on what they do. I decided I will try and see if we can let someone else see a bunch of Jaguars driving in a line. He is the plan; I figure we can meet in Pennsylvania or somewhere around there. We will cook out in the park and then file in a line and make a run to either Cleveland to the rock hall, New York to Times Square, or to Detroit to Greek town. Taking photos along the way. I also thought about everyone tossing in a couple bucks for some hats or shirts and food. This way I don’t have to pay for everyone. If someone can’t help pay don’t worry about it… I will cover you but those that can help please do so. I figure we will do this around the end of August. This should be enough notice for everyone and the weather should still be nice. I just thought of something else, I will have car cleaning products there. This way when we roll we sparkle. LOL. I am going to put a lot of work into this so if you say you can come please do so. I would hate to put everything together and only have one person show up. We will do this on a Friday or Saturday that should help with everyone’s work schedule. Oh, and not just X-Types! Any Jaguar is welcome!!

surreptitious, I hear you. I am tempted on going too, but for me, that is a minimum 7 hour drive each way, not counting which way we drive there after. We'll see. Got a few other family trips between now and then. We'll see what is going on as it gets closer. Granted, a slow drive along Skyline drive that time of year would be really cool. Looking down into the valleys with all the leaves changing colors.

Hershey PA is suppossed to have a terrific automobile museum.

 

well how about WV or Kentucky?? Like I said a good turn out is what we want. If that means moving it to a different spot. suggestions???

 

Great idea vegas...too far for us texans though. I am considering my own 'meet' around here, so i'll follow your thread to learn from you. Definately wish you all the luck.

 

Good idea but, Times Square? alot of traffic and tourists, not fun.
Although a meet around Philly sounds good, maybe a trip over to Atlantic City ??

 

If you meet in Eastern PA and decide to go West, to Cleveland for instance,maybe those of us in Western PA can join up on your way through.

Putting the word out through Roadfly, JCNA and some of the other forums might attract a bigger crowd.

I am in cleveland so the idea to meet in east PA and cook out, talk, and bs for a bit then make a single file line up to the rock and roll hall of fame would be a good idea. Any Jaguar is welcome. If we get a big reply from this then we can have the cars in order by model while we drive. Man is his going to be cool!! I thought a one day thing only but if you guys think two days thats cool to. I will put it all togather but I want everyone to be involved with ideas. so is east PA a good starting spot??
