Default Jaguar x-type Arden

Hi guys, my first post here.

I have my late fathers 2002 Jaguar x-type Arden, and it’s been sat on the drive since his passed away years ago. It has about 50K on the clock, and is in mint condition - excluding the now rusty brake disks, etc. Do you think it’s worth getting it running again and selling it? How much do you think they’re worth? Otherwise, should I probably sell it off in parts? Because it’s definitely too nice to be scrapped. Thanks

I’m afraid it’s too expensive for me to run as a student.

Panther, you are only going to get but maybe $3K for it. More than likely, closer to $2K. IT is low miles. I would put a few gallons of gas in it, a can of dry gas and take it for a spin around the block. Probably will need to charge up the battery too. But, the few times around the block will let you know if it is worth selling or parting out. As for being "too expensive" to fix, if you have some mechanical ability (sounds like it because you are thinking about parting it out), working on this car is not any more difficult than any Ford or Chevy out there. As for parts, sure they are a few dollars more in some cases, but in other cases, it is the same part as you would find on a Ford 3.0L in any of the cars of that time. Yes, there are a few oddities, but those are normally not the parts that go bad.

any pics?
arden parts are not too common.
The X type has little value here in the U.S, sounds like you are in the U.K?

You can easily check the car sale websites to get an idea of value, The arden kit probably wont add much value, it will attract some while putting off most.
Personally i like the kit which is why im interested in seeing pics.
The 2002 is the least popular year because they had some issues which 2004+ solved (ahem...lol)

How many years is "years" ?

id be interested in arden parts if you part it out

so, standard jags that are the same age, similar millage and in pristine condition are going for about 5K (6.8K in USD). I don’t have any pics but I can take some when I’m free. I understand the Arden parts are very expensive.
its 2002.

thanks, that's very kind of you to say so. it is a very nice jag.
it's been a few years.
I'm not sure, but i know he wasn't big on social media/forums.
yeah, that jag has all of those and the alloys.

I've attached a pic of the exact same jag (kit, alloys, etc) - but mine is grey.
