Hey i was wondering if anyone knows any way to fix the common fault with the x-typs's front defroster vents, since every time i hit a bump it makes noise and the jag dealer told me they couldnt do anything but replace them and they said it proably still would happen even after all that work. Does anyone know a fix?

If you are talking about the plastic trim vents in the dash? I glued mine in with a 3M 2 part epoxy, i wouldnt use a super glue because the vents will just pop out again. Use a good quality adhesive.

 

If you talk to some of the Jaguar parts places, they can get you new clips to hold those vents in place. Specifically, talk to Ken at Britishparts.com (Ken@britshparts.com). He should be able to get you the pieces that you are after.
