Post Jaguar X Type No reverse - Reverse Band Fixed with Pics

Thank you to the people of this forum who have helped me in the past solve all of the mechanicle issues I faced and enriching my knowledge on this unique car brand

Feeling a sense of appreciation, it is my turn to give back to this forum

I have recently gone through the 'NO REVERSE' hurdle on my 2002 Jaguar X type 2.5L and want to share my experience with the forum

Thanks to my good friend Mr. Evaggelos Louvaris from Greece who replaced the reverse band and allowed me to dosument the process

Very nice write up. I have a silly question. If you were under the car facing towards the front of the vehicle, which side of the car (under the wheel well) is that reverse band bolt on?

peace out,
daddylogan

Default X Type no reverse

Great pictures and explanation !!! I hope my similar problem on the 2008 3.0 isn't that complex.
