Default Jaguar xtype air suspension

Hey,
It seems like I am having a lot of problems with my suspension on my xtype and I was just wondering if anyone switched to air suspenion? How much would it cost, if anyone has done it before?

Exexpat is only one on bags I'm aware of. What problems are you having?

Expat? Is that a place that can transform it to air suspention? Just a lot of little things are going wrong and it seems every month there is something else wrong!

Exexpat is a member here, do a user search. He did a whole thread on adding the bags, he's running 20s on his extraordinary car.

What are you trying to do? If you want better ride quality, then air suspension is not the way to do it. If you want to go low and have instantaneous height adjustability to clear driveways and speed bumps, then come talk to me. If you want to go low and don't want little things going wrong either, then air ride probably won't suit you as well as coilovers.

If you want better ride quality, you would be better off finding some blown shocks and getting some soft 16" or 17" tires and running 30psi pressure. If a sport model, you can also replace the sport springs with non-sport to get a softer spring rate.

For fun I was looking into air ride. Were you able to do a conversion? Coilovers would be cool, but I like the extreme look of air ride lowering, and you can adjust it when you want normal height. It's probably out of my budget but is it something you have to custom fabricate/weld? They have a lot of kits for hondas and other popular models but I don't think any company makes a kit for the x-type. The most realistic route for me though is the lowering springs though since money is a factor.
