Hey guys I live in toronto Ontario and the owner of a 03 x-type 2.5 and was wondering if any jag owners in toronto know of places and prices for quality tune up jobs?

 

When I bought my x in 2010, I got a pre purchase check done by Robinson Automotive just west of Pearson Airport. They said the car was sound but if I wanted it, they quoted me $665.36 for a major tune up (motorvac fuel injection cleaning service/combustion chamber cleaning). Parts cost was about $130, labour 460, the rest tax. No clue if that is reasonable cost wise and as the motor seemed to be running fine and still is 20k later, didn't have the tune up but did use them for other work and they were very competent (Kirk Robinson who runs the place has a phone in tv show on cogeco local "auto experts"). I use Budds now in Oakville as it is much closer to home, not much more expensive, + they give me one of their spare jags when mine is in the shop. (I could start a threead on why the X is so much nicer than the S.................!!!!!!!!) Nice people to do business with as well and obviously know these cars back to front (although point blank refuse to do anything with the transfer case oil - Robinson can help you with that if you don,t fancy doing it yourself).

 

Thanks Danny I will look into Robinson kind of a distance for me I'm more east though. (lol yes you could the X is much nicer than the S kinda like that one kardashian sister from the others)
