I was just wondering, if I buy a keyfob like this from amazon:
do I have to take it to the dealer or a locksmith to be programmed or can i just do what this guy did? ->

That's not the procedure for the X-Type. To program the remote buttons you will turn the ignition switch on and off 4 times to go into program mode and press a button on the remote. If you have multiple remotes you will need to press a button on each remote quickly when in the programming mode. To add an additional remote you have to program all remotes at the same time. Don't know about the key part.
