Did my periodic transmission drain/fill....got a hair over 4.5 quarts out. Close to 5. I don’t remember overfilling it last time- transmission has been working well, so I added 4 quarts and a bottle of Lucas. (I know some people don’t care for the Lucas but both my old X type and current seem to shift much better with it). I wonder why nearly 5 came out. At any rate, as good as the transmission has been working I don’t think a little extra fluid hurts these cars. There is a venting overflow cap right next to the fill cap, so I guess anything that’s overfilled will vent thru there....
