As I posted before, I have some scrathes and worn patches especially on the drivers side bolster.
I bought some Jaguar Black leather dye off Ebay and applied it today.........( I took no pictures......shoot me!![&:]- I forgot[])
After a few hours blending in it seems like a perfect match and has done a great job of disguising the scratches. I'll be giving it a few more coats then follow up with some leather conditioner.
Fantastic

A few hours????
Jim I thought you were getting the gliptone like I used.
No blending on mine but the lighter and darker toners were included (for less than yours) incase they were needed if the leather had faded, etc.
Maybe I just got lucky and the dye was the right colour out of the bottle?
Anyway its the results at the end of the day and Im glad to see your happy with the results

Hey hanky.......I have only had time for one coat so far but it seems to do it job well. I will be giving it a 2nd coat as soon as I have finished the 1001 other jobs I seem to be in the "middle" of doing....lol
As far as recommending it goes, Yeah, it certainly worked fine for me and I'm happy with it.
Although I think that maybe Bucks Glipstone might be a better product that I forgot about when I ordered this one instead.

What colour interior do you have Hanky?

Hey Jim,

I have a black interior. I don't know if Jag has a fancy name for it but it looks like black to me.

For example I had an Acura RSX with black interior and the factory color was actually called Ebony.

I'll look into Buck's as well. My concern is if they ship to the US.

I'm sure that they will hanky.
If not and you have any problems you can always ship it to me at my home address and I can forward it on to you, worst case scenario though I think mate!
Failing that you'll probably have just as good a source for dyes in the US I would think.

You can let me know though if you need help

thanks jim, i appreciate it but i'm sure they will ship it to US.

Last question about the dye, you mentioned that the die matched perfectly, does that mean you were able to get away by only applying to the needed areas such as the bolster instead of dying the entire seat?

Yes mate.........I did consider doin the whole thing but it was not needed.
I applied some leather conditioner to the rest of the interior and it brought it back to life as well as making it smell like new leather.

I am gonna apply another coat though, maybe even 2 just to fill it out as it was badly worn. Lookin 100% better even now though, just the perfectionist in me
