Default Left front squeak

Hey guys, what is typically the main source of the front squeaky bed noise? I push down on the front drivers side fender and hear the squeak.

I see a white mark on the front strut mount which tells me it's new since that's how all new parts I got from Jaguar come now; and that the previous owner tried to fix it. When the car was up in the air to replace the rear sway bar bushings and links and the front end seemed pretty tight. What is the likely culprit here ?

Most common rear squeak (replaced mine) =

Now the front are squeaking, started with just slowly going over speed bumps, has progressed to road variances and turning wheel while stopped (replacing first week of August) =

The extremely hot, arid dry weather here in Utah has dried the rubber bushing out until they just crumble (of course no grease zirks not a big help either, lol).

As with your mention, my car is tight with no knocking or rattling or unusual steering or handling problems. Just the bushes are shot.

Well, that's going to be pricy for me, if it's the front arms. This is my second X type, and one thing I know is that I am not buying any after market suspension parts again. Each OEM arm is 300 plus. I might just have the squeaky side done.

Those are "OEM-Quality" which is different than "OEM" . I imagine they are as useless as the parts on eBay.

I believe the originals are Lemfoerder.

But looking at parts geek they do have the Febi Bilstein's for 130..... I have just been burned too many time with aftermarket X type suspension parts that end up shot after only a few months and not worth the effort.

UPDATE: just saw a couple of reviews on the Audi forum about Febi Bilstein Arms. No thanks. OEM it is

I sprayed some silicone on the lower control arm bushings and still hear the squeak. Besed on how the bolt is positioned I think this is the original control arm. This squeak might be the strut mount.

Anybody got any good suggestions for isolating the noise?

And also,

if i replace The strut mount should I just get new struts at that point? Cars got 52k miles

Great to isolate the exact component
