Default Legit After Manufacture Warranty?

Has anyone purchased a legit after manufacturer warranty? After the A/C went out, I cant afford to drop that kind of money again out of the blue. With 72k I'm afraid the transmission, timing belt, and window regulators could go out at random and the mechanics make it sound like good warranty plans ($2300) would cover all those parts.

Current users?

Jag techs?

Please let me know if you have had a good experience with any of the warranty companies.

Much Appreciated

The X-type does not have a timing belt, it has a non-serviceable chain..... not to say it couldn't fail, but chances are slim. I would read the fine print of the warranty.

A lot of shops make you pay up front, then you have to deal with the warranty company to get you money back, plus the biggest scam of all is when they tell the shop what they are going to pay, the you are stuck with the difference..... seen it all. Not a fan of extended warranty unless they pay up front, and all of it.
