Question long time car guy new to Jaguar

I have an '06 X type estate. Rear suspension is badly worn. Anyone have a suggestion on where to get good replacement parts? Need all bushings for the rear, I'd like urethane.
Thanks much!

green, first off, welcome to the Forums. Lots of good information here. But, we ask a simple thing from you. Please stop by the New Member Section and tell us a little bit about yourself. We pride ourselves in being a different type of car group and as you will find, most people like what we have going. This will help you figure out who the higher ups are around here and this gives us a chance to get to know you.

As for parts, you have a few options. If you are one that insists on getting your parts from a dealership, then find a dealership (sponsor here) called "JPLV" (Jaguar/Porsche Las Vegas). Give them a call and tell them that you are a member here and they will take care of you. But, plan on spending about $300 a side just in parts ($600 total).

Option 2 is to look on E-bay. You can normally find them a bit cheaper than through a dealership, but you are also taking a bigger risk in getting the wrong part. I have ordered lots of parts and have been fortunate enough to get all the correct parts except for 1 time and that was more my fault than anything.

Unfortunately, your local auto parts store isn't going to have the parts that you are needing. With that being said, when looking at the upper suspension arm, you can get one off of a "Volvo S40" that is adjustable and it will fit on your car. This will save you some money as a pair of these is around $120 delivered to your house where a single arm through the dealership is around $100 before shipping.

Hope this helps. Putting on the arms is pretty easy. Please note that I never mention getting just the bushings. Some members have tried to go this route and unfortunately, all the bushings on the Jaguar parts are formed into the part. So, getting just the bushings is very difficult and will take a lot of fabrication on your part to make them work.

green estate: Welcome to the forum. Some suggestions for rear control arms with new bushings:

Lower front control arms: Search the Internet or eBay for "MS101044" to find Mevotech control arms that fit our X-Types. Expect to pay $70-80 a pair, including shipping. Two examples:

Mevotech Pair Rear Lower Front Control Arms Fits Jaguar x Type 2000 08 | eBay

Mevotech Ms101044

Upper adjustable control arms: Search eBay for "Rear Upper Control Arms Adjustable" plus "Mazda" or "Focus" or "S40" or "Volvo". Expect to pay $60-80 a pair including shipping. An example:

Focus 00 11 3 04 07 5 06 07 S40 05 2007 Rear Upper Control Arms Adjustable | eBay
