lookin for some user advice.
has anyone used one of the online used car ad services. looks like i gotta sell the car, sniff sniff. just wantin to know if it is worth the money or not. thanks
Are you somewhere where local advertising wouldn't be worth it or trying to reach a larger buying audience?

in my opinion, most of the cars that get advertised (successfully) nationally fall into 2 categories:
Either they are cars that have a small market (ie: collector car, or very expensive) or they are cars that have such significant defects that nobody who ever sees the car in person will ever buy it. (we call this the "Ebay Car")
I wouldn't think the 'X' would fall into the first category in any local market. So if you car is in decent shape, sell it locally. A for sale sign in the window with a price should see it gone fairly quickly, I would think. (there's ALWAYS somebody who wants a Jag on the cheap)
