loud engine noise

Default loud engine noise
I have a 2003 X-type 2.5 with 105k, runs great! Thought I had an exhaust leak because I had a loud engine noise when I accelerate - Checked whole exhaust system (nothing wrong) - As I said it runs great and there is no loud noise when I rev engine in park - What could the loud noise be?

Check the u-joints and carrier bearing on the driveline.
