Default Lower Windshield Finisher

The lower windshield finisher (cowl/scuttle) has a lip that snaps into the lower channel strip that runs the length of the bottom of the windshield glass.

It seems that this strip, made of a brittle black plastic, has given up any pretense of being capable of retaining the lip on the lower windshield finisher.

So, this needs replacing but I cannot find any mention of it or part # in any of the part assembly drawings.

Anyone know what this strip is called and have a part #?

I am speculating that it may come as part of a new windshield?

l have ordered a new windshield. Finally the crack has made it into my field of vision.

l have also ordered, a new lower windshield finisher, the left and right finisher foam rubber seals, the left and right A pillar windshield finishers and all relevant clips/hardware.

But I will need that replacement channel at the bottom of the windshield glass, to properly seat the lower finisher against the glass of the windshield. The gap at the moment varies from 2.5 mm to 6mm!

Any thoughts much appreciated.

Thanks Rob.

Thanks Dell but that is just another part # for the windshield lower finisher....it catalogues out at part # C2S20980, $93.14 and is on order from SNG.
So just to recap, it is the strip, at the lower edge of the windshield glass that the lower windshield finisher snaps into, that I need.

its part of the windscreen, I find the plastic strip that pushes into the channel on the lower bit of the screen tears off at the ends so the scuttle strip will not sit flush on the screen. a temp fix is silicone sealant on the lower screen channel and place a weight on it over night until it sets

Thanks. That is the conclusion I was leaning towards. Ditto here, strip on scuttle at ends torn away. New scuttle on its way. Windshield on for installation tomorrow afternoon...just hope that snap channel/glass locator really is there on the new glass!
