Having trouble on my crappy 2002 2.5 Auto Sport. Message board on car say "Cruise not Available", usually everyday after a period of idling. During this driving time car falls flat on *** at 3000rpm. If I take my foot off gas for a second right at 3Krpm and let it shift it is fine, car drives normal. Once I've done this through all gears up to freeway speed the message leaves the display unit and I can crank on it up to any rpm. So I'm not sure that it's transmission, might be electrical system? Also when I am very low on gas the problem never occurs, check engine light is on though. At the same time as this engine problem happened my sunroof button only works one way. Just wanted an idea of what I might be dealing with

If your check engine light is on, you need to start by pulling the code and see where the trouble is at. That would be my first step.

you'll need a OBDII scanner or better to hook up to your diagnostic port. If you don't have a scanner, you need to get to an auto shop and ask if they can pull the code(s) for you.
