Here in Canada, I have a 2002 X-type 2.5L
I have just changed the battery and all works well except the Message Centre is now blank..
Any suggestions welcome - especially if you have experienced this yourself.

 

Eject the DVD and reinstall (if yours is touch screen).

 

I can try that but doubt it will work. The Message Centre is the display shown in green below:

 

I'd try 2 things. First, I'd try (w/key in position II) hitting the reset button on the light switch. Then press the turn signal stalk button a couple of times. Secondly, I'd try going into diagnostic mode. Press and hold the light stalk button, turn key from 0 to II for 3-4 seconds min. If it goes into "test" mode, cycle through the read outs then turn off key and back to "II" & see if it now works.

 

Wifey took it shopping this morning and when she returned the Message Centre was working !
