Misfire Bank 2 only! with P1314, P1316, P1582
Just like to say hellow to all the members on this site, your previous threads have given me some excellent knowledge about my Jaguar.
I have just recently purchased a 2005 x type ,2.5 limited edition with dual exhaust. I have seen some members with similar issues to the ones I am experiencing, and am really hoping you guys could kindly lend me some advice.
The codes I am getting are p0302 p0304 p0306 p1314 p1316 p1582. I have a good general understanding of what mean, and understand that they all relate to bank 2.
So far I have replaced plugs/coils, 02 sensors for bank 2 upper and lower, new intake gaskets including IMT, leak tests and multiple OB2 reset's. Car has just had a brand new MOT on purchase.
The Jaguar runs fine and idles fine also, engine sounds very slightly rough. The main issue is that it keeps going into Limp Mode, mainly when idling at the lights or parked, also frequently when driving below 3000 rpm. It picks up fine with maybe a slightly slow responce. Permanent engine managment light with frequent flashing when in Limp Mode.
I have seen a few members and sites were some owners have experienced these symptoms. I am lead to belive it could possibly be a blocked Cat ( makes me think why MOT did not pick that up), vvt and solanoid issue, cam sensor.........please could you guys give me any advice on this. Big hello, to all the X-TYPE members here. I have gained a lot useful information from this site, so thank you for that! and finally joined up myself.
