Hi everyone, I’m looking for some suggestions. I recently brought my x-type 2.1 and all has been good but today not long after leaving my house as soon as my car got to top gear it jerked and my ca stop running. Warning lite and message ‘transmission fault’. Stuck at a roundabout, I started it ok, put into reverse to move but that gear didn’t work, so put into manual and my car moved ok, until I got to 4th gear and all stopped again. Came home under manual. Transmission fluid was done July last year, could it have run out of fluid and would that stop a gear working. Open to all ideas. Thanks
